I wrote this in December of 2016 when I was upset about some things…both personal and political. I had my friend Ernesto Garcia of Foxtail Studios record it for me. I liked how it came out, and we decided to record two more songs. We’ll be putting the finishing touches on all of them over the next few weeks, and as soon as I can get a nice video made to promote it, we will release an EP. When I have a firm release date, I’ll let everyone know.
I am actually very worried about how people will receive this song, just like I was about my “Friends” song. I decided to make this pandeiro video as a test – to see if this would upset people too much to put it on the EP. It is actually not an easy thing for me to talk about my anger and my struggles, because I really fear the judgment of others. I’m afraid the general consensus will be, “Maybe the problem with you is that you just aren’t good enough.”
Well, maybe I’m not. But that won’t keep me from making these videos. Please enjoy, and as always – let me know if you have any requests for future pandeiro video topics!
