A few months ago, I posted about a song I finished recording back in October that borrowed some elements from Dichterliebe, a series of depressing German art songs (here is a link to it). I’m planning to release that song on an EP sometime in the not so distant future. Until then, here is the solo pandeiro version:

The name of this song comes from the dorm where I lived my freshman year at an institution of higher learning somewhere in the Midwest. I started writing this song in 2012 and didn’t finish until 2015. I didn’t record it until October 2016…and I still haven’t released the full version. I’m very proud of it; I play vibraphone, pandeiro, drum set, and timpani…plus producer Luis Elorza included some cool electronic effects.

I also may be making a music video for this one over the summer. I don’t know for sure yet, but I will keep you posted.

Send me requests for future pandeiro videos if you have them…and feel free to let me know what you think of the video in the comments!
