Calamity is a folk-country-pop band infamous on the San Diego music scene for their wacky antics. In the middle of a prank calling session at a band sleepover, the members of Calamity get an offer for a lucrative gig in Vegas from promoter Mike Rotch. Despite initial skepticism, they accept the gig when he immediately sends them half of the pay via Venmo. They hit the road and play the gig, but the duplicitous actions of their promoter soon land them stranded in the desert, on the run from the law, and in serious…trouble!

Reviews

“A sweetly sinful and purely satisfyingly radio play…The irresistible allure of music, mayhem, and murder beckons you onward through this calamitous adventure.” – San Diego Troubadour

“The writer and director Catherine Barnes is a total genius, and from what I can tell from this play, a bit of a badass. But then all these amazing female musicians are. How better to showcase their brilliance than in this fantastic format.” – NoHo Arts
