As “Queen Mab”

Here is the original cast recording of my award-winning first solo show, “International Man of Mystery.” I’m singing and playing vibraphone (a big metal xylophone with a damper pedal) and pandeiro (a Brazilian tambourine that wants to be a drum set). Ernesto Garcia, Jr. engineered and produced this at Foxtail Studios in Escondido, California.

Image of Catherine with her face painted to look like a man. She has a blue beard and eyebrows and purple shadows over a white base. She has a mate straw in front of her face. Text at the bottom reads "Queen Mab presents...International Man of Mystery."

Here is my EP, “What You Know,” which was released in October 2017. The image below will take you to iTunes; it’s also available on Spotify, Amazon, and Soundcloud. I performed all lead vocals, drums, and percussion. Cathryn Beeks and Nisha Catron recorded backing vocals on “My Shrink.” Ernesto Garcia, Jr. engineered, produced, and played guitar and bass.

Catherine stands next to her vibraphone holding four mallets. She has on a blue glowing crown. Her face is painted white, and her lips are painted blue. She has on a black strapless dress with a long white skirt. Text on the image reads "Queen Mab - What You Know."

As “Gberá”

Here is a single I recorded with the brilliant singer and performance artist Edoheart in 2010. It’s an avant garde remix of Shchedryk, a Ukrainian New Year’s song. It’s usually performed in English as “Carol of the Bells,” but Edoheart sang it in the original Ukrainian!

Image of the cover artwork for Edoheart and Gbera's 2010 single "Shchedryk." It features mirror images of a madonna holding a baby with a halo. She is floating above roses with leaves, and there are gold streaks emanating from her. Image text at the top reads, "Shchedryk A, Edoheart + Gbera." Text down the right side of the image reads "Drawn by Seth Yamasaki 2010"

This video was my first collaboration with Edoheart, a remix of the poem “hist whist” by e. e. cummings. She made the video and recorded the vocals, and I recorded the percussion.

Image of green goblins cavorting over flames. Text in the center reads "ee cumming's HIST WHIST." Text at the bottom reads "by Edoheart and Gbera"

There is only one way to get the remaining four tracks I released as “Gbera” – including “¡No Te Quejes!” You must sign up for my newsletter. 😈 Muahahaha! 😈 (See the popup form on my home page, or scroll up and sign up using the right hand side bar).
